Emergency Drainage
Protects your roof from flooding
It is to be expected that the number of severe rainfalls is continuing to increase due to global climate change. In order to protect people, buildings and property, new laws and regulations have been passed that consider the whole drainage system in its entirety, i.e. roof drains, piping system, and transition to the public sewage system. As it is required to perform local site-related calculations of the average rainfall measured as well as the statistical century of rainfall, it is now also mandatory to install emergency drainage in accordance with European standard norm DIN EN 12056-3.Those who carry out the planning and the building of the drainage systems are liable for their work. Only a correctly designed and installed drainage system – transferring the required quantities of rain in all weather conditions from the roof into the pipe system – will be able to provide the necessary safety and reliability.
Each building and each individual roof possesses its own unique design features.
Constructors have to choose between draining via the facade or additional piping systems.
